Week 9: Word and Spreadsheet
This week's class was a refresher as I was somewhat familiar with both application software. In Word Processing we looked at editing our learning styles document. We used Word Art to give the heading a bold attract look, We also did some highlighting and I learnt how to give a page a colour. I have since used some of the tasks to prepare documents for my child study. It was good practise!
In excel I learnt a lot more ,I usually went about doing most of the functions we in a longer way, where I had to retain certain information. I learnt several short cuts and have also put these to good use. I learnt to resize and add a function via easier methods . I guess you are never to old to learn.

Week 7 Assure Model and Movie Maker
Assure Model and Movie Maker
The Assure Model is a six step lesson plan where the teachers analyse learners, state objectives, select methods, media and materials, require learners participation and Evaluate and revise their lessons.
I was able to make a movie to accompany my lesson using movie maker, I explore and through trail and error I used transitions and added music. I was so excited, it was shown to my family everyone was proud of me since I use little technology and was never really prone to tampering with it. I plan to use Movie Maker in my classroom to captivate my students , excite them into learning to transport them to new worlds and to assist them to understand what they have already seen. Movies will be regularly used as introduction and as a method of transmitting information.

A podcast is amateur radio. A teacher can use podcast to introduce lessons, in making PowerPoint presentation to make sure auditory learners are cater for and to help animate the pictures to appeal to students. Students can use a podcast to record audio for their skits and dramatic presentations or to record themselves reading or to take notes.
Exploring all this new technology is so exciting! I can think of a million ways to use it all in my classroom , I CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!

Week 5: Creating a Blog
Creating a blog was not a new experience for me . However, all the features connected to blogging and the components of the blog were. It was very exciting to explore blogging and its features .
In class we watched a video and critiqued it. The audio was slower than the video and it made me realise that technology if not properly used can defeat its purpose. So now I have a new mission, I will after every creation watch it several times, edit as I have learned how and make sure it is accurate for my students and the purpose I have created it.
